I tend to think it's unusable because I think that it is very unattractive, and I think that the majority of the general population thinks so, too. I believe it is appreciated only by name-nerds. I don't think that anyone who gives this name to their daughter is doing her any favors. I don't think of Harry Potter, because I've only read one half of the first Harry Potter book and that's it, and never seen any of the movies.

I don't believe it will get more common, and I've never known anyone with the name Hermione.

I pronounce it Her-MY-ah-nee. I don't like Hermine at all.
