Love it..
I like Ambrose as a middle name, but prefer Emrys as a first name.

I like it. I would use it as a first name in real life.
Also (completely off topic) Are you Wolftears on Midnight Forte as well? (If you don't know what Midnight Forte is then never mind, you just share a username with someone so I thought I'd ask :) )

Nope not me. ;-)
It sounds feminine to me.
Yes, that's why I'm going back and forth on it. With 'Em' names so pop for girls.
I really like it. I have it in the combo John Emrys as a double first name. That was actually the name of a great-great-great uncle of mine.
John Emrys is very cool.
It doesn't do much for me. I much prefer Ambrose.
Love, love it. Love Emrys, love Ambrose.
My only fear is that here in the U.S., where the name is virtually unknown, parents would tend to use if for little girls. "But it starts with "Em-." Doesn't that mean it's for a girl?" It drives me bonkers.
I've given up trying to explain that Emlyn is a boy's name. The "-lyn" on the end is too difficult to get through to people. Rhys seems to be holding as a boy's name so hopefully Emrys would as well. But I still fear the encroachment factor.

Emrys is super cool! I think it might be a little feminine for a modern boy tho.
