Malerie doesn't even look like a real name...it looks like what you get when you combine Mallory with Valerie.

Either way, it has a pretty sound.

I like Mallory. Malerie isn't the worst non-traditional spelling of a name. But imagine how many times your daughter would have to spell Malerie, when it could be so simple.

I was starting to like the name Mallory but I really dislike the spelling Malerie.

I just can't get over the "unfortunate" meaning. I prefer the spelling Mallory, too, because Malerie reminds me of "malaria".
