[Opinions] Re: Isidora
in reply to a message by Wordsmith
I love Isidore for a boy (second favorite name for a boy) and Isadora for a girl but Isidora looks wrong to me and I much prefer the pronunciation of Isadora.
Both Isadora and Isidora are lovely, underrated names. I love how they are feminine and sophisticated but not frilly or over the top. I do like Isidora. I just prefer Isadora.
My favorite combos from your list are:
Isidora Charlotte
Isidora Jane
Isidora June
Isidora Millicent
Isidora Peony
Isidora Vivienne

Just out of curiosity, how do you pronounce Isidora and Isadora? They are exactly the same to me pronunciation-wise.
There is a clear difference between Isidora and Isadora when I say them. Isidora would be pronounced Is-IH-dora and Isadora Is-AH-dora. All vowels are very cleary pronunced in Swedish and I can't really get away from it even if I speak English. In theory I would pronounce Jordan, Jordin and Jordon in three different ways as well (though I know they're all pronounced the same.)
The difference between Isidora and Isadora is definitely less noticeable when I proununce them in English but there's still a difference.
