I think it's better for a girl who isn't Welsh, really. It's like nameing an American child Kansas or Chicago.
I really like Cambria, it's cute, even though it reminds me of the band Coheed and Cambria, which, to me, is a good association.
Cambria also has good nicknames, like Cam, Cammie, Bri, Bria, Ria...
