I felt like a barely knew Tony before I got pregnant with Ray. It was very unexpected. When I told Tony I showed him the test and cryed. We weren't ready for a baby. He was suprised but kept his cool and told me everything would be alright. We flew to Alaska for Thanksgiving, and planned to tell them on Thanksgiving. But after two days there Gammy asked Tony if I was pregnant. She said the sky spirits told her!She was very happy and took it upon herself to tell everyone! So by Thanksgiving everyone knew. Grace (Tony's Mom) was also very excited. She always wanted a grandchild. At first Tony's dad, Joe, was still very unhappy that I married his son, but when he found out it was a girl he was happy. She melted his heart before she was even born. No real name clashes, except with Gammy, who wanted Sky Angel. But I could not agree to that. After a fairly easy pregnancy i felt like it was time for Ray to come out. But unfortunatly for me; she disagreed. After two weeks of being overdue Gammy made a suggestion she said I should run around the apartment 10 times naked. Of course at first I didn't want to do it, because it made me feel stupid, but after doing everything else the doctor suggested she still didn't come. So finally I decided to do it. I closed all the windows and the door and started running. Tony stood there laughing at me, but not too long after I started having pains. Tony took me to the hospital and a few hours later Rachel finally was born. Truthfully, it was the most horrific thing that ever happened to me. It hurt SO much. The family got there just an hour after she was born, in time for Gammy to say "I told you so!". The family wanted to stay for a month, I did not object, however Tony did and they ended up staying for two weeks. When they left I still had 3 more weeks of maternity left, so I was forced to stay home with her by myself. It was ok, I actually kind of liked it... until she started crying. And once she started she would not stop! I tried rockying her, feeding her, and changing her diaper but nothing worked. So I decided to call Grace & Gammy. Grace suggested a pacifer or a toy. Gammy however suggested I get her some spiritual blanket and a feather. I tried Grace's ideas but neither worked. Gammy had sent a spiritual blanket embroidered "Sky Angel" and an eagle feather. So I finally decided to try Gammy's idea and it totally worked! Rachel has beautiful brown eyes and brown hair. I think she'll be more of a daddy's girl. We would like to wait two years until the next one but you never know...
