Which nickname for Elizabeth do you prefer, Betty or Betsy? You may prefer a different nickname for Elizabeth altogether, but if you had to pick between these two, which would it be?

BETTY!!!
I love the gustiness of Betsy so that is my favorite of the two, but I like Betty too.
Betsy (or Ibby)
Betsy, it has a little more oomph
I strongly prefer Betsy.
Definitely Betsy.
It's classic yet youthful and quirky and artsy. Betsy would stand apart in today's crowd of babes. It's definitely ripe for revival. In fact, Anna might have been Elizabeth (nn Betsy) had our surname not began with B.
OTOH, I heartily dislike Betty (and that's putting it mildly). It's just so dated and everybody knows several. I also find it rather frumpy, perpetually old and quite uninteresting. Odd, I know, that the two nicks are so similar and my feelings for Betsy are the polar opposite of the ones I have for Betty.
Current fave nns for Elizabeth: Bess and Ellie.

Betty still seems especially dated to me and I always imagine a sticky-beak old woman named Betty. Betsy is sweet and old-fashioned and still a little fun and quirky

Nothing against Betty, but Betsy has an energetic vibe that I find more appealing.

Betsy. It just sounds younger and more full of life. Vibrant. Betty is nice, but it reminds me of the Flintstones.
