Do you really need a nickname for Damian? Seems fine on it's out. I suppose in casual conversation among close family and friends it would get shortened to Dam (sounding like the first syllable, not the swear) but the Damian I know just gets called Damian.

It's for a story, and they call him a nickname based on his name.
