[Opinions] Ingaret Combos and Nicknames
Playing around with Ingaret, a very rare medieval Welsh name that happens to look Germanic. My old combo is Ingaret Julia Sylvaine. While I think this is gorgeous, I've been rethinking this lately. Sylvaine might be a bit too pretty. I might want something a bit more youthful and down to earth. I'd also like to add some German flair to it. I love her with Julia though. WDYT?
Ingaret Julia Sylvaine
Ingaret Julia Winter
Ingaret Julia Fay
Ingaret Julia Ruth
Ingaret Julia Ermengard (Ermengarde is pronounced differently from Ermengarde in German. I kept that in mind when I chose this spelling.)
Ingaret Julia Sofia
Ingaret Julia
Also I can never decide on a nickname for Ingaret, so many good ones. Any of them would work for teen years in my opinion, but I want something that would work on a baby. WDYT?
Inga
Greta
Ret
Retta
Gretsie
Julie
Ingo
Etta
Ina (I actually like these last 2 best but do they seem to contrived?)
I'm leaning towards Ingaret Julia Ruth today and at the moment I'm thinking all call her Inga as a baby and Ret as she gets older. As for what other people want to call her, that's up to her, but Ingaret in full is fine too.

Ingaret looks so much like ingrate, they're actually anagrams of each other. I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be mean or anything, it really sounds nice, but still that would bother me. Like when you type Ingaret into Google it says
Did you mean: Ingrate
=/
Might I suggest Ingrid? They sound similar.

Ingrate is not a commonly used word where I live. I don't think I knew what it meant until high school. Plus I'm pronouncing it trysillabicly: ING-guh-ret. So it doesn't sound like it to me.
I've never heard of Ingaret before! Is it di- (IN-gret) or trisyllabic (IN-ga-ret)?
Hmmm...
Ingaret Julia Catherine
Ingaret Julia Constance (I really like this.)
Ingaret Julia Dagny
Ingaret Julia Doris
Ingaret Julia Edith
Ingaret Julia Frances (And this!)
Ingaret Julia Helen
Ingaret Julia Hesper
Ingaret Julia Hester
Ingaret Julia Hortense
Ingaret Julia Mabel
Ingaret Julia Maris
Ingaret Julia Mary
Ingaret Julia Maud / Maude
Ingaret Julia Pearl
Ingaret Julia Signy
Ingaret Julia Sofie / Sophie
Ingaret Julia Tamsin
Virtually all of those nicknames appeal to me; however, I'm most fond of Inga, Greta, Ret, and Etta.

I say it trisyllabicly, though I say Margaret disyllably because for some reason, in my accent it's difficult for me to pronounce that name otherwise -- makes it difficult to make the nasal schwa at the end. Ingaret I don't have a problem enunciating though.
Ooh I really like some of these. Edith, Helen, Hester, Mabel, Mary, Sophie, and Tamsin are great with it. Thank you!

I'm not familiar with Ingaret. Now I'm interested.
My favorite combo of those is Ingaret Julia Fay. It keeps the medieval-ness and sounds nice. I'd use Greta for a nickname. Ingo is great too. Etta and Ina are cute, and I don't think they seem too contrived (especially Ina).
