Alexandria is a past favourite of mine which I eventually discarded as I couldn't find a nickname that I loved. My favourite was "Lux" though but that may only work with a Scottish accent (I pronoune Alexandria as aluks-and-ree-ah not alix-and-ree-ah).
I thought about Ally or Allie (I could never decide on spelling but I have an Uncle Ali so that was out) but like you mentioned I know an Alison "Ali".
I also thought about Lexia or Lexa quite a bit. Al is sweet as a sometimes-nickname like my family very occasionally jokingly call me George. I like it but would hate that being my full-time name.
Now that you have mentioned it though, I do love Sasha, particularly for Alexandria/Alexander.
