[Opinions] Re: Violetta, with suggestions
in reply to a message by Wordsmith
Okay, these are the combos you offered that enrapture me.
Violetta Caroline
Violetta Catherine
Violetta Clarice
Violetta Eugenie
Violetta Hesper
Violetta Jane
Violetta Joan
Violetta Léonne
Violetta Marceline
Violetta Martine
Violetta Pearl
Violetta Rachel
Violetta Ruby
Violetta Signy
Violetta Susanne
If I may offer you my own thoughts... For myself, I am desperately in love with the coquettish Violette, sans the flourish of the final A sported by her Italian cousin. Also, as much as I love Alice and Alys, for example, I prefer not to have a final vowel sound in front of a beginning vowel sound (which is why I love Violette; she can stand comfortably before Anaïs, Oriane and Éliane). The exception was Eugenie, since it arguably begins with a consonantal Y sound rather than a true vowel. In addition, I have a few modest suggestions for you, as below. My tastes are rather more fanciful than others', so stand warned.
Violetta Bellona
Violetta Benedetta (I am okay with the repetition of -etta's though I know not everyone would be)
Violetta Blackbird
Violetta Blossom
Violetta Butterfly
Violetta Camellia
Violetta Cantata
Violetta Carathina
Violetta Claire
Violetta Claudia
Violetta Clementina
Violetta Crimson (I love pairing color names)
Violetta Delilah
Violetta Fortisa
Violetta Genevieve
Violetta Justine
Violetta Larissa (the double S matches the double T)
Violetta Letitia
Violetta Louise
Violetta Lucine (I prefer this to Lucy)
Violetta Marguerite (and this to Margaret)
Violetta Marigold (which I noted that you like, and I love)
Violetta Marinda
Violetta Mirabella
Violetta Moon
Violetta Natalia
Violetta Nightingale
Violetta Nocturne
Violetta Renata
Violetta Sapphira
Violetta Serenissima (so very Venetian!)
Violetta Simone
Violetta Socorro
Violetta Tatiana
Violetta Valentina (called ViVi :-D )
Violetta Winter
(Alright, not a few. :p )
