My 13-year-old cousin's name is Reyniel. I'd like to know its origin and meaning. My cousin says that his name is Cuban but I have doubts about that; I think the name Reyniel is French. Who can clarify this?

What's french about it? It looks like someone got creative with Reynaldo and Daniel. It does sound like something a Cuban person would do, :op
