Love it, in my top 3!I have Percival Linus Malcolm as a combo, but Percival Malcolm, Percival Victor would be pretty awesome.

Sorry, but I really don't like it. Some people here go on about it, and it's one of those names I'll never understand the appeal of. It sounds like a whiny nerdy obnoxious mean little guy, despite being the name of one of the Knights of the Round Table.

Have you ever read / listened to any P.G. Wodehouse? His comic characters all have names like Percival. I don't know about other posters, but that's where my love of old English names like Percival comes from. Others: Bertram (Bertie), Eustace, Oswald, Honoria, Gladys, etc. They brighten my day just thinking about them -- their characters are so funny. I realize most of these names are not user-friendly in the U.S. (where I am.) But for sheer love of hypothetical names, Wodehouse is a garden of delights.

I haven'tI do like some Old English names. I think some Anglo-Saxon names are really cool. Percival just isn't one of them.I do "like" some names based solely off the type of character they conjur up in my mind too. Like Barnaby. I think Tippins said it best once when she said it was "top-hat wearing." :)

I enjoy Percival (NN Percy).

I like it in theory, but in reality he may get teased a bit. I like ICEyun's suggestion of Percival Henry.

Percival sounds a tad stuffy/over-formal, so I imagine he would be called Percy.Percival Edward
Percival Edgar
Percival Darwin
Percival Walter
Percival Oliver
Percival Victor
Percival Henry
