[Opinions] Rose
What do you think to Rose as a first name? Is it too frilly, old ladyish...etc?
Do you prefer it as a nickname for something else? If so, what are some of your favs?
What names do you think would go as siblings? If you can/have time, please give some girls, and boys.
And finally, what middle name would you put with Rose?
Thanks :)

I ADORE it, not too frilly, too butch, too old-fashioned, or too modern. It's the perfect name. I hate it as a middle name though, boring!
I would totally use Rose as a first name, but I also adore Rosemary and would use that too. I really like Rosalie, Rosabel, Rosamel, and Rosaline too, but none of them are as beautiful as just Rose and Rosemary.
I personally would use Rose Catharine, Rose Penelope, Rose Valentine/Valentina, Rose Anneleise, Rose Josephine♥.

I love Rose as a first name...a wonderful, strong, feminine, timeless name.
I prefer it as a given name, but also like it as a nickname. My favorite full names for it are Rosemary and Rosalie.

I think Rose is beautiful as a first name. It's very soft and sophisticated, and makes me picture a quite, intelligent, creative, introspective girl with brown hair. I rather like that picture.
I prefer it as a name on its own. For "Rose" names (my favorites are Rosalie and Rosemary), I'd rather use Rosie as a nn. Although I'd use Rosie as a nn for a Rose too.
For siblings I'd imagine other timeless names like Katherine, Elizabeth, William, and Thomas.
Rose Catherine is one of my favorite Rose combos. I'm not logged in so I can't go scan through my PNL, but off the top of my head I think Rose Georgina and Rose Eleanor would be very pretty.

I love Rose, it's so short, but the sound it full so I prefer it to most similar names. I don't find it frilly at all, and at this point it really is refreshing.
I like it on its own mostly, but I don't mind Rosalie, Rosaline, or Rosalind. I even like Rosamund sometimes.
I think it fits with anything classic, though leaning towards simple rather than frilly or even just long. For some reason I think that Rose and Camille would be great for sisters.
My personal favorite combo it Rose Mairead. Other suggestions
Rose Eileen
Rose Bethany
Rose Coralie
Rose Yekaterina
Rose Emilia
Rose Evelyn
Rose Aveline
Rose Genevieve
Rose Jessamine
Rose Liberty
Rose Natalie
Rose Shachar

Wow thanks! These are great! You're a star :)
It's one of my favorite names of all time. I prefer it as a whole name.
Rose is wonderful as a first name, so sweet, classic, and colorful. It's not frilly or old-ladyish at all, imo. Instead, it's one of the few names that manages to be simple and lush at the same time. I love it.
I prefer Rose alone, but it's also nice as a nn for Roseline, Rosamund, Rosalie, Rosanna, Rosemary, and so on. I'm willing to use Rose as a nn even if the longer name begins with a sound closer to RAWZ than ROHZ.
Possible sibs: Adela, Eleanor, Catherine, Frances, Arthur, Luke, William, Elliot. I think any name that doesn't sound like a really modern invention would work. I'd avoid other nature names just because I think they'd be too matchy.
Rose Eliana
Rose Patricia
Rose Guinevere
Rose Bethany
Rose Diana
Rose Julia

Rose is elegant and refreshing. I love thinking up mns for Rose because it allows for a romantic, long-ish name to go with its simplicity.
