[Games] Re: CN's NTNB 1 – No rules (m)
in reply to a message by CN
Wasn't too thrilled with it. With a couple of exceptions (like Shaniqua, JaQuan, McMadysyn, or Destani), names don't tell a person's social class. The Walker FamilyDH: Anthony Michael (29)
DW: Jennica Grace (26)
DS: Ashton RobertThese names are fine.
___________________________________________________________________________The Hamilton FamilyDH: Samuel Theodore III (32)
DW: Josephine Rose (30)
DD: Henrietta Rose (5)
DD: Margaret EllenNot even rich people name their daughters Henrietta anymore. And the names Samuel, Theodore, and Josephine are not exclusively upper-class.
__________________________________________________________________________The Nelson-Harris FamilyDH: Reuben Alexander Paul (34)
DW: Maria Camilla (24)
DS/DD: Carter Evan / Cassidy ReeseThis one was actually funny.
___________________________________________________________________________The Linville FamilyDH: Jordan Graham (25)
DW: Winter Sky (23)
DS: Travis RandallThese names are good.

Dbf: Matthew Robert Simcek (17)
DD: Again, the stereotype that all young fathers are ignorant and immature.___________________________________________________________________________The Silva FamilyDH: Conrad Patricio (42)
DW: Ruth May (39)
DS: Sarah RuthFair enough, Conrad is pretentious, but Ruth is okay.

I do believe that names to a certain extent reflect social class (or rather socio-economic background) so we obviously have different opinions on the matter. This is just a game and I used ideal/pure type cases. It's just a way to see what names people think these stereotypical families would use.
If you don't like the game, don't reply. There is no need to be rude or lecture me on the use of names.
