I like it pronounced Iss-ana, but I've heard it pronounced Eye-zanna too. I remember Isannah from Johnny Tremain.
It's really pretty and it could grow on me, I can't decide how to say it though.
I've always assumed it was pronounced with a long I. If not, than I don't like it so much.
I remember this name from "Johnny Tremain". I don't know if there was a small vogue for it in the eighteenth century, or if the author of the book knew it was the name of Paul Revere's daughter, and therefore thought it would make an authentic yet not too common choice for a character in a novel set in the eighteenth century.
