I love Pascale!1. pass-CAL (like in calorie) or pass-CALL (like in cauliflower)? I pronounce it pas-CALL or pas-CALE to not confuse it with Pascal.2. Appropriate for a Jewish girl? I guess so.3. WDYTO nicknames Pax and Callie? I don't like any nn for this one. Just straight.4. This I'd answer, but I'm kind of lazy and don't have the time for right now.

I want to like it, as I adore Pascal (b) and Pasqualina (g), but Pascale does nothing for me. I don't say it like either of the two choices though, I say Pas-KALE, the ending sounds like scale. For a girl I just prefer the less gender-ambiguous Pasqualina, which is just delectable to me.I can't decide if it would be ok for a Jewish child, it is related to Passover (good), but also to Easter (not so much the good). I want to say it's fine, but something holds me back from using it myself. Maybe because the majority of people I know only know of it's relationship to Easter, everyone is surprised when I mention the connection to Passover...Pax and Callie are fine nicknames, I like Pax.You have gorgeous combo choices, my favorites are:
Pascale Aderet
Pascale Ahava (ah-hah-VAH) ♥
Pascale Aliza (ah-LEE-zah)

I adore Pascale. This might move right up near the top of my list if I didn't have a bad personal association with a Pascale. Pascal is very high on my boys' list.1. pass-CAL (like in calorie) or pass-CALL (like in cauliflower)?
pass-CAL2. Appropriate for a Jewish girl?
Anything can be appropriate for a Jewish girl--depends on what type of Jewish tradition she's growing up in. I would think it's ironic to myself, but probably not share that name-nerdery.3. WDYTO nicknames Pax and Callie?
Pax is spunky, but a little affected. Callie is a very sweet nn for a sweet, sort of quiet name like Caroline, but I don't like it for more flowery names like Pascale or Calliope. 4. Some comments/your likes or dislikes from this list of combos:I like earthy-sounding mns with Pascale.Pascale Aheri
Pascale Atara
Pascale Ateret
Pascale Eitana / Etana - especially Eitana
Pascale Miriam - so classic
Pascale Maayan (mah-ah-YAHN)
Pascale Nitzana (would mean "Passover bud")
Pascale Ofira
Pascale Shulamit
Pascale Shaked (shah-KED)
Pascale Tikva
Pascale Tova (Tova Pascale struck me the other day) - it's great both ways
Pascale Tzafrira
Pascale Tziona
Pascale Yaakova
Pascale Zariza
Pascale ZoheretI dislike mns that have Ls in them--they run together, to my ear.

1. Well, I say pahs-KAHL. So... the first one?2. Yes?! Why wouldn't it be?3. Callie seems pretty ditsy to me, Pax is much better.4.
Pascale Aderet - Aderet rules. Too bad it's not in the DB.
Pascale Aliza
Pascale Amira
Pascale Atara
Pascale Aviva
Pascale Elanit
Pascale Galina
Pascale Hilana
Pascale Meira
Pascale Mirit
Pascale Nissana - Nissana is too reminiscent of Nissan (as in, the car) to me, but a nice combo, nonetheless.
Pascale Ofira
Pascale Rafaela - My favourite!
Pascale Raviva
Pascale Tova
Pascale Yulit
Pascale ZoreiaThose are a lot of combos you came up with.

1. pass-CALL though I've always pronounced it PASS-call2. It does have Herbrew roots3. I like them both4. My favorite is Pascale Eletza5. Sorry, but I have to say this. It has always reminded me of that scene from Finding Nemo where Dori is trying to read the word "escape" and pronounces it "es-cop-AY!" lol. pass-call-AY! Sorry, I had to =). Stll like the name, ecspecially with nickname Pax.
