[Opinions] Sebastian
I've had a particular fondness towards Sebastian lately. Perhaps it's because I'm learning a piece by Johan Sebastian Bach for the piano right now, and it just jumps out at me.
WDYTO Sebastian? Do you think it is too outdated? Does it remind you of anything? And if you could think of some combos, please post them.

I love Sebastian and I don't find it outdated. It sort of reminds me of Bastian in the movie The Neverending Story and the bad guy in the movie Notorious (fn: Alexander sn: Sebastian). Ironically, I love Alexander Sebastian and Sebastian Alexander as combos. My favorite combo is Sebastian Gabriel though. Others I like:
Andrew Sebastian
Anthony Sebastian
Sebastian Balthazar
Sebastian Raphael
Sebastian Elias
Sebastian Francis
Sebastian Felix
Sebastian Evander
Sebastian George
Sebastian Gregory
Sebastian Henry
Sebastian James
Sebastian Jonas
Sebastian Julius
Sebastian Ignatius
Sebastian Jeremy/Jeremiah
Sebastian Joseph
Sebastian Lucas/Lukas
Sebastian Mark
Sebastian Matthew
Sebastian Matthias
Sebastian Oliver
Sebastian Paul
Sebastian Thomas
Sebastian Philip
Sebastian William

I like the name Sebastian. One of my close friends used to have a Daschund with that name (and he was so adorable!). It also reminds me of the jolly singing crab from Disney's 'The Little Mermaid'.

If I could I'd name my son Sebastian (can't for family and cultural reasons) and call him either Bastian or Ian. I hope I'll get to use Ian at least.

This will always be my #1 boys name. Ironically, I wouldn't use it, lol. It's my go to name for an aristocratic "character" (I don't write).

If you don't mind me asking, why wouldn't you use it if you like it so much?

It just evokes a certain image, is all. Like I said, it's an aristocratic name to me. I'm not aristocratic. No offense meant to my future-son, but he probably would fit the name. =P

I know a man, age about 27, named Jean-Sebastian.(French-speaking, that's why the "Jean").
Sebastian, either by itself, or in combination, is quite popular in my area. so, no, not outdated at all.

I think Sebastian is great. I don't think it's dated at all. It's quite low on the US charts. I was surprised. Sebastian is in my top 10. Sebastian Phillip
Sebastian John
Sebastian Miles
Sebastian William
