Emmerich - I'd love Emeric. Emmerich just makes me think of a horrible, horrible teacher I had with the name.

Hendrik - I actually don't like this, but that would have been my name had I been a boy, so I kind of feel connected to it anyway.
Immanuel - Prefer Emanuel.
Johann - My grandfather's name!
Josef - Prefer Joseph, though.
Malthe - Spelt Malte, never seen it with an H.

Sven - Used to be my favourite.

Agustine - So not used in Germany. Like never used.
Emil - a beautiful German name
Emmerich - I like it
Erik - I'm not fond of Erik or Eric
Ferdinand - Very cool
Franz - It's such an old-fashioned name in Germany, but it's not that bad
Friedrich - not my style
Gustav - one of the most beautiful German names I know. I would use it for my son instantly
Hans - bad
Heinrich (the Himmler association is much too strong, but it's a nice sounding name) - the Himmler association might be too strong in other countries than Germany, but here in Germany it's just a normal, old-fashioned name
Hendrik / Henrik - nice
Ignatz - cool, but almost never seen
Immanuel - I like it
Johann / Johannes - nice
Josef (Stalin makes this unusable to me, but I prefer it to Joseph) - again: no one in Germany instantly thinks of Stalin when seeing Josef because it is such a normal, old-fashioned German name that's very common. I like it
Leon - I hate this name in German, but it's nice in English, imo
Leopold - such a cool German name
Lutz - urgh
Malthe - I've actually never seen this spelling, only Malte. I'm not fond of the name
Matthias - I don't like it
Maximillian (Because both the name AND the guy are gorgeously hot. If anyone would like a description, I'll be happy to give it to them! =P) - In Germany, it's Maximilian with one "l", not two. In Bavaria, about every second boy is called Maximilian and the name is the un-hottest German name I've ever seen. I dislike it because of how it looks and sounds.
Niklaus (I only like the versions of Nicholas with Ks in them.) - I only think of "Nikolaus", you know, "Santa Claus" in Germany. But in German, either Nikolaus or Nikolas or Niklas are far more common than Niklaus.
Pankraz (too bad this is wildly similar to pancreas.) - Sounds so terrible in German, unbelievable! "PUNG-KRUTZ" I mean, who would name his son this?
Pascal - It's actually a name that I only associate with lower-class German families and with many boys in my kindergarten who were socially not very well educated... I dislike its sound anyway, it sounds terrible.

Adalrik - Actually, I quite like this.
Agustine - Okay. It has soft, slightly feminine sound (not that that's bad or anything).
Emil - Adorable and handsome at the same time. I like combo Emil Sebastian.
Emmerich - It looks really great, but I'm not sure of the sound.
Erik - Dislike.
Ferdinand - Really nice, strong name. Yummy!
Franz - I prefer it over Frans, but I don't think Franz is too great.
Friedrich - Gorgeous.
Gustav - I can see a dog or a hen or a duck called Gustav, but not really a real, living human being.
Hans - Reminds me of Hans Christian Andersen. Not the most amazing name in the world, but okay.
Heinrich - I agree, it sounds nice.
Hendrik / Henrik - Hendrik: meh. Prefer Henrik and its royal sound.
Ignatz - Don't like this. It doesn't sound particularly welcoming name.
Immanuel - Kind of ugly.
Johann / Johannes - I prefer Johann, though Johannes is good too.
Josef - I personally prefer Joseph.
Leon - Nice.
Leopold - Good, elegant name.
Lutz - Really light and perky name.
Malthe - I adore the spelling.
Matthias - It looks much better when it's spelled with two 't's!
Maximillian - You're right, this is a hot name.
Niklaus - It feels like it either has one letter too much or is missing one. Nikolaus and Niklas look better.
Pankraz - Ew. Can't say I like this very much.
Pascal - Yuck.
Philipp - Lovely.
René - The meaning is nice. Other than that, it's nothing very special.
Severin - It's nice, but sounds like a medicine.
Sven - Stereotypical Swedish man.
Theodore - Great name.
Viktor - I don't really care for it, but I like the feminine version, Viktoria.
