What do you think of Ashley for a girl? Nobody ever seems to post about this name. I'd really like to know why it has been so popular for so long. It has remarkable staying power. Just look at the other 80s names that aren't classics and even at the ones that are, Tiffany, Courtney, Lindsey, Stephanie, Amanda, Nicole. They are all losing popularity yet Ashley is still up there. Any theories?
Do you know many girls with the name? Mostly young girls or girls born in the 80s?
Do you prefer Ashley, Ashlee or Ashleigh (or any other spelling)? Which one have you seen most often? Have you met any girls with weird spellings? I have met and Aisleagh and she pronounced it like Ashley.
