Elias and Ginny met in and go to college in the small town of Doubois, North Carolina. They married straight out of college and realized they were expecting their first child the same year.
They live in a small farmhouse that used to belong to Ginny's parents and raise a few sheep and chickens. Ginny is a student teacher at the local primary school and Elias's job is two towns over at his father's law firm.
