Help[Opinions] How do you pronounce Blythe?
Do you say it Blithe/Blythe or Blaithe? It is really hard for me to explain the difference.
I guess the latter has the Y sound like a long letter I while the former has the Y sounding like a quick I sound.

I pronounce the Y with a long I sound, i.e. like the word eye.
(And I pronounce the TH with a hard TH sound.)

I think I get what you're saying. And I pronounce it with a longer I sound.

I pronounce it with a long I sound, which I would write out as BLITHE. BLAITHE looks like the vowel sound should be a long A.
To me:
Long I = I (as in mine)
Short I = ih (as in sit)
To me:
Long I = I (as in mine)
Short I = ih (as in sit)

Well, I don't mean a short I as in sit. Thats why I said I had a hard time explaining. I suppose I mean more of a dragged out Blyythe or a short Blyth.

I say it Blythe, if that makes sense.
