American Idol alum
Carmen Rasmusen has welcomed her first child, a son named Boston. Boston is also the first child for Carmen’s husband,
Brad Herbert.
I have no idea who she is, but this made me think about naming babies after cities.
I guess the concept is just totally alien to me since we don't use place names for children (only a few rivers are the exception and then only female names). Personally I only like those that have been named after people in the first place (
Paris,
Athena,
Adelaide,
Sydney, etc.).
How do you guys feel about them? It seems that celebrities are using them more and more (Bronx,
Brooklyn, Kingston,
London …). I wonder how long it’ll take before we see a little Chicago or Amsterdam running yround;-)
