Arthur and Edith have Charlie, Edward, Oscar, Martha, Ada and Nora as well as their little angels Essie, Harry and John.
Charlie and Mabel have Barbara and Dorothy.
Ada has Sunny.
Charlie and Mabel have welcomed their second daughter Dorothy Anne Washington in 1925. Dorothy is named after aunt Dolly. Barbara needed some time to adjust to not being the only child in the house anymore, but she has warmed up to the idea and now loves taking care of her baby sister. Charlie is now in his residency in a hospital in Boston. The family moved to a Boston suburb and now resides in a lovely two-story Victorian house. There is room for the family to grown in the house and both Mabel and Charlie agree that they want one more child. However; they want to wait until Charlie is done with his residency.
Edward broke up with Helen Manning after three years of dating. He is now involved with an older woman named Blanche Fournier. Arthur and Edith do not approve of this relationship, but Edward sees Blanche as his muse and is very much in love with her.
Oscar has joined the military, where he is quickly moving up within the ranks. He is quite content with his life but would like to meet a nice girl and get married.
Martha received her bachelor’s degree in 1925 and moved to New York with a friend from college. Martha and her friend Emma Meyer live together in a small apartment in Brooklyn. Emma is an author and poet. Martha is working at Times Magazine as writer. Martha is perfectly happy in her situation and still has no desire to ever get married.
Ada married Frank Gillespie at age 17 before finishing high school because she was pregnant. Ada gave birth to a little girl, whom she named Sunny Belle Gillespie, shortly after the wedding.
Ada was a mother and wife for two years before divorcing Frank. Ada sent Sunny to stay with Arthur and Edith while she went to Hollywood in pursuit of an acting career. Ada changed her name from Ada Gillespie to Vita Giles – she thought that name sounded more like a movie star’s name than the name she was given at birth.
She is still struggling, but is slowly becoming more successful in the silent picture industry. She is dating a much older man; a studio executive named Harvey Dubois.
Nora is almost done with high school and is dating the high school quarterback Jack Cameron. She would like to marry him and have lots and lots of children…
Arthur and Edith were settling into a life without children living at home when Ada sent Sunny to live with them. They love their little granddaughter, but it is much harder to care of her than it was taking care of their own children…
