Love, love, love it. It's one of those names that's enjoyable to say out loud. I have to smile after I say it. All that history to it only adds to the effect. Great name.

I think it's a sweet, old-fashioned name. I think the nn Winnie is adorable (Fred and Freddie are cute, too). I don't know that I'd ever use it, but I do like it.

I love Winifred. It reminds me of the main character in Once Upon A Mattress, one of my favourite musicals. It's a beautiful name, and it hopefully won't be coming back any time soon, which makes it a great catch.
