[Opinions] Ever
What do you think of Ever for a girl? Would it get confused with Eva? I like it because it reminds me of the word forever which then reminds me of eternity and I love names with those meanings. I also think it's fine for a boy but prefer it on a girl. So WDYT? Met any Evers in real life? Do you prefer it on a boy or a girl? It has been used by a celeb do you think it will get more common?

I think it sounds strange as a name... like you're just taking some random En. word and turning it into a name... like The or Finally or About or something...
I don't understand the purported appeal of this name -- I strongly prefer Eve.
It just seems like a word to me. I don't think of it as a name at all. The alcohol EverClear would come to mind for me, before Forever would.
I prefer Ever on boys
I worked with a Mexican guy named Ever. It is used as a nickname for Everardo. I can't really see it on a girl, but I don't think it would be confused with Eva (at least not where I live). I could see it becoming more popular.

Due to celebrity usage I'm sure it'll get used more. Personally, I'm not a fan, for me it evokes the word never, which is not a positive image in my mind. Generally I'm not a fan of random words as names.
Ever sounds like the sort of name a girl has in a fantasy fanfic, but not in real life. I don't like it at all. To answer your other questions: I've never met an Ever; it would be appropriate on either a boy or girl (but these dreamy kinds of names tend to work better on girls); and I could see it becoming slightly more common if some celeb used it.
I agree
Ever isn't bad, but it sounds like the name of someone in a fantasy novel or fanfic.

i love Ever, i prefer it on a girl.
I dont think it will get more common tbh, cos the actress isn't extremely well known unlike angelina jolie and that.
i dont know an Ever

Same
Nope, never have
Harharhar.
I think it's kind of tacky. It's not too tacky though. I mean, if I knew someone named Ever I would get used to it very quickly. And I think the general public would find it kind of neat.
I have heard of it being used more than once though, so yes, it may be getting more popular.
It certainly doesn't sound like Eva in my accent, because to me Eva is EEEEE-va and Ever is EHVVVV-uhhrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. But I can see how it would be confusing in a lot of other accents.
