I love this name pronounced sun-EE-va but I think it might actually be pronounced along the same lines as Godiva, so sun-EYE-va but I don't like that as much. The meaning is beautiful too which is a plus. I don't think there would be too many issues, not enough anyway to override it being a really nice uncommon name.

It's supposed to be soohn-EE-va. Not rhyming with Godiva.
Did you find that somewhere or is that just how you would prefer it to be pronounced? I'm just wondering as I couldn't find any definitive answer when I've looked before. Since Godiva is formed from the same element 'gifu' that's why I thought it might be more correct but on checking again most seem to have the i as ee. I like soon-ee-va just as much.

Gifu doesn't have anything to do with the prn
Gifu simply means "gift" and therefore it doesn't have anything to do with the prn. Here in Sweden we prn Sunniva like SUHNN-iva or something like that.
