I do feel it's a girl's name, and it make me think of the actress Ione Skye, but I am from the hippie capitol of the universe and I have known a lot of guys named Starr. I suppose you could make the perception of being a girl's name change if you used it for a boy. Robin and Ashton managed to be turned into girl's names, and Starr was turned into a boy's name, so why not?

I think that it is a trendy girls name.

hmmmm no. It's a bit too feminine for a boy. I mean it's okay on a boy but like Brooke, Heaven, Meadow and Raven, I think it suits a girl much better.

I like both Sky and Skye for a girl but I do like Sky a bit better.

I love it for a girl, but spelt Skye. Its my daughter's name.
