I like Adrienne a lot, and don't consider it dated. I say it basically the same way as Adrian, though the end is more -en and less -an.

Adrian on a girl is just silly. There are so many perfectly good female versions (Adriana, Adrienne, Adrianna...)--why take the boys' name?

In theory I absolutely adore Adriana, but only said ah-dree-AH-nah. Since that would be hard to enforce I'd never use it.
