I think that
Eve is a pretty name. I would use
Evangeline or
Evangelina just in case she decides at some point that she wants to go by a longer name. Personally, I think
Eva is even prettier, but
Eve (or even Yve, which could be short for
Yvonne or
Yvette, etc.) has a classy simplicity, like
Jane. I have no idea whether or not it will rise in popularity. A lot of formely rare biblical names are catching up, but who knows? I doubt that in a classroom of kids there is going to be more than one
Eve (or
Eva or
Evangeline or whatever.) That's another good reason to use
Evangeline: if there ever was another
Eve, she could just go by the long form. I don't actually know anyone by this name, but it's not unheard-of. Although I can see religious parents naming their daughters
Eve, it's definitely not just limited to them, just like Matthews, Michaels, Sarahs, and Rebekahs aren't all religious.
