It's been almost 6 months since the kids came home and they are adapting quite well. We couldn't be happier!
Jamie asked to be called
Jamie Ella because she said she didn't like people mistaking her with a boy when they heard her name. We considered calling her by mn alone, but it is too close to our dog's name,
Ellie, so we decided against it.
Jamie Ella is real princess and a very girly girl.
Lily Marie is thrilled to have someone of her age to play with, and both have become very good friends. They love jumping the rope together.
Noah has had some trouble adapting to his new home.
He is a very shy, sweet boy and likes to spend a lot of time alone playing with his dinosours. We hope that he will become more sociable as time passes.
He and her sister have a very close relationship, and
Ella often helps me when
Noah is having a hard time. She is like a little mother to him. It's so sweet to see them together.
Brandon has a adapted very quickly considering the circumstances.
He loves spending time with
Liam.
Liam often takes him fishing and they also play baseball together.
Brandon has established a connection with our dog
Ellie, he loves spending time with her, and she sleeps outside his bedroom door during the night. We plan on giving him a puppy for his birthday, which is in three months.
The three kids are seeing a psychologyst both to help them adapt to their new life and to help them cope with their tragic past. We hope that helps them to have a new and better life.
We couldn't be happier right now, thanks for all the joy you brought into our lives.
