[Opinions] Re: Sadie & Verity
I associate Sadie with the word "sad" and Sadie makes me think of someone...well...sad. :D
I know a Finnish oboe teacher named Seidi and I wondered for a long time, where did her parents find such a weird name (I thought that's a creative variant of Heidi, which is a very popular name here) - I realised only this week Seidi and Sadie are pronounced the same way. Of course! These are the associations with Sadie. Would be a nice nickname to Sarah - much better than Sallie.Sadie Bliss
Sadie Juniper
Sadie Lenore
Sadie Fay
Sadie Marion
Sadie Evelyn (E-ve-lin)
Sadie Lark
Sadie Amalia
Sadie Jeanne
Sadie LucineMm, to me, Verity has always been a very sweet, "introvert", aquarelle-coloured name. Female name. Maybe this is only me and I'm old-fashioned, but Verity has got such a delicat feel that only a female name could have. Some of the male names do have that attitude, too, but the accents are a little different. Yarden is a good example.

Verity doesn't work for a boy so much now, IMO.  ·  Kinborough  ·  11/28/2008, 7:35 PM
