I like all of your combos, and though I prefer Harvey Richard to Richard Harvey having brothers Homer and Harvey would be a bit much. For Estella's mn I like Brooke and Pearl.

Oscar Marino Constantine (sometimes "Ozzy" or "Os")
Era Odilia ElodieG/G

I normally would go for Noa as a FN for a girl, but I've finally decided it's too popular. (It's nr 11 in my country)
vote up1
I love Noa. Where do you live? I also love Philippa and Leila.
vote up1
I am from the Netherlands (but not living there atm). I've been loving the name Noa for a girl for quite a while now, but I really don't want to use a name that is very popular. I've made a post about the most popular names in the NL not too long ago, in case you're interested:

B/G: Milo Forrest / Eleanor Story "Ella"

Eleanor Story is beautiful

Ooooo! Claire Nightingale!Claire is my sister's mn, as well as my niece's. And Nightingale has a special place in my heart. Very, very pretty! :-)

From Games...To me, Twin/Sibling names absolutely have to be related, in some way (without being obscenely matchy or simply beginning with the same letter)B/B:
Hunter Wyatt / Fletcher Wayne
Henry Landon / William Holden (or Charles Nolan)
Dexter Jek / Jasper Wicket
Sidney Clover / Vernon Sage
Ninian / Naoise
Sirius / Alshir
Spyridon / Hugo
Ignatius / Blaise
Winston / Neville
Daphnis / EndymionB/G:
Oliver James / Phoebe Elizabeth
Avery Joss / Ainsley Jess
Hermione Constance / Isidore Francis
Apollo / Cynthia (or Diana)
Regulus / Adhara
Tempest / Zephyr (my niece/nephew)
Daphnis / Chloe
Selene / EndymionG/G:
Pascale Leona / Linnea Eleanor
Ramona Maya / Paloma Mia
Blair Arden / Briar Ashton
Isla Primrose / Iona Rose
Dahab Martine / Zahra' Brigitte
Iseult Mathilda / Guinevere Swanhilda
Ethel Honeyblossom / Mildred TigerLily (or Agnes Bluebell)
Saulė / Aušrine
Sylphide / Undine
A lot of these were created during a CAF or Congrats name. I'm not sure if I would use any of them IRL, but I liked them well enough. Any names that sounds ridiculous are GP's.

This message was edited 11/22/2008, 1:35 AM

Holy crap! What a great list! Seriously! And I used Tigerlily too. =DHunter Wyatt / Fletcher Wayne is my fave from the entire list.I also like these:Henry Landon / William Holden
Dexter Jek / Jasper Wicket
Sidney Clover / Vernon Sage
Ignatius / Blaise
Winston / Neville LOL!Oliver James / Phoebe Elizabeth
Apollo / Cynthia (or Diana)Blair Arden / Briar Ashton
Isla Primrose / Iona Rose
Iseult Mathilda / Guinevere Swanhilda
Ethel Honeyblossom / Mildred TigerLily (and Agnes Bluebell)
vote up1
Thank you so much! I've been editing like whoa for a while now- bored/still not sleepy- so I'm glad someone liked them. :DLOL. The Hunter/Fletcher combo was from a namebank, I think. I don't think I like either of those names, but from what I had to work with... they sounded pretty good together (a Fletcher is an arrow-maker, which works with Hunter [besides them ending in -er]). :PDexter Jek / Jasper Wicket are among my favorites as well. They're from that Star Wars CAF... maybe you saw it?

Hunter/FletcherYah, I'm very familiar with Fletcher. Hunter goes along fine, but my long-time traditional twin for Fletcher has been Archer. Fletcher and Archer Bowman, as a matter of fact. ;DI was also very attracted to matching Wyatt and Wayne, which are both such wonderfully rugged, dusty, spur-wearin cowboy names.I love and admire layering in twinsets. That was why I thought that set in particular was the hands-down best.I didn't see the Star Wars CAF. I just loved the sound of Dexter Jek. But now I'm goin to look!...
vote up1
There has to be a person out there, somewhere, named Archer Bowman. I just know it.I agree. Twins names have to match on several levels for me, as opposed to just giving them rhyming names (ugh) or the same first letter.So...Even if Iona and Isla appear to just be "I" names, they aren't. I actually chose them because they are Scottish islands (the fact that they are both four letters in length and begin with "I" is just... lucky [or not]).
vote up1
Not lucky, well done :-)
vote up1
vote up1
I was just about to edit, saying that I actually do like Mildred Tigerlily and Ethel Honeyblossom, despite the horrendous sounds of the first names. I think they flow well (and they can always be nicknamed).

I have one pair of B/G twins in mind...(m)B/G: John Thomas Leopold / Annabel Sophie Clara "Anna"But these two combos essentially take parts from my previous top three...so now I have no other ideas that I can think of for good combos.Help would be appreciated. I'll probably post a thread in the near future asking for suggestions.
vote up1
Annabel Sophie Clara is gorgeous!Annabel Sophie Clara is gorgeous! nt
vote up1
Thanks!Only thing that is even remotely negative is it takes one name/element from each of my previous 3 favorite girls' combos, so now I have to revamp the whole list, haha.
vote up1
B/B: Oliver/Noland
B/G: Jack/Dorothy
G/G: Anastasia/Violette

Adele Rosaline is beautiful.Elliot Malcolm and Helena Ruby are also nice.

Names I might actually "use", and that I'm feeling ATM:B/B: Thomas Jerome / Miles Edward
B/G: Thomas Jerome / Lydia Temperance
G/G: Lydia Temperance / Zelda LenoreI'm feeling reserved tonight. And despite my Edward love, I really wish I could disassociate it from that blasted Twilight character. I haven't even read those books. Maybe I need to read Jane Eyre again.

All your names are gorgeous. I especially like Lydia Temperance and Zelda Lenore, but you BB and BG combos are lovely too.
vote up1
B/B Alden Francis / Peter Dalton
B/G Declan Kyle / Rosalie Simone
G/G Giovanna Sue / Harper CharleenAll honoring.
vote up1
Rosalie is lovely.
vote up1
Alden Francis-- there's something strangely appealing about this name to me. Alden's NMSAA, but I'm getting a gentlemanly vibe. I approve.Peter Dalton's cute. I'd expect him to be a slightly shy but totally sweet geeky guy. I wanna give him a hug.And I love the class that Rosalie Simone exudes. There's something delightfully aloof about it, and it's totally charming. That's probably a bit of a paradox, but I think it just sounds interesting.

Love Claire Matilda and Violet Agnetha, and Sarah Temperance. Aubrey Theodore is nmsaa, but Alistair Nathaniel is handsome.

Sophronius and Bonifacy together -- bold! Viorel has such a cool meaning, I love it with handsome Simon (who is well matched with Minerva Faye). But my faves are Martha Thomasina and Clara Ernestine. Poetic!
vote up1
Ooh Martha Thomasina! *love* I like Isaac Sophronius too. Isaac and Wilhelm make an awesome twinset.
vote up1
Right now, I think I would go for:G/G: Ruby Clementine & Adeline Elizabeth
G/B: Viviana Claire & Asher Nathaniel
B/B: Everett Thomas & Oliver Charles
vote up1
Ruby Clementine is lovely!
vote up1
I love Viviana Claire...Viviana Clare (this spelling) is one of my favorite Viviana combos.
vote up1
Asher Nathaniel! That used to be one of mine lol. Then Asher got usurped by Alistair. I think my fave of yours is Viviana Claire, but I like all of your combos, even though I'm not necessarily a fan of all the separate names. Your B/G twinset is my favourite, probably because it has the highest concentration of my favourite names lol.
vote up1
BB: Martin & Robin
BG: Martin & Madeleine
GG: Jane & Anne (I know, very plain)
vote up1
I adore Martin and Robin on boys! And I love Jane and Anne! It's gorgeous!
vote up1
Jane and Anne!I don't care how plain others think they are. I think they're lovely. Jane and Ann (no E) are my maternal aunt and my mother, respectively. =D
vote up1
I like Martin and Robin as a sibset, neither is very common these days. Jane and Anne is quite refreshing to see, if a tiny bit matchy. I'm not sure about Martin and Madeleine, they have very different feels to me, but I like both separately.
vote up1
Oh my gosh I love all of your sibsets. I am not too into a lot of the individual names, but they go so well together. Wonderful. How dear. ♥
vote up1
I like:Madeleine
Jane and Anne (but as middle names or Anne as a nn for Anneliese)
vote up1
Love, Martin & Madeleine

vote up1
Oh I like Leo Alasdair. Alistair is a fave of mine. I like Eleanor Rosemary too, and Elisabeth Zara is rather pretty.
vote up1
I really like Elisabeth Zara but prefer Zara Elisabeth a bit more.
vote up1
I have two sets of B/Gs I'm loving right nowRemember, though, having already named all the real children I'm ever going to have, all my fave choices are GPs at this point. So don't bother giving me crap about it. There will be no real babies with these names.Though I would if I could. ;pThe two sets of B/Gs areDerek Tiger and Delilah Tigerlily
Allyriana Lyonesse and Alexander LioncoeurAs for the others, for tonight they areB/B: Jedidiah Tiberius (nn Jed or JT) and Benedict Augustus (nn Ben or Brick)
G/G: Cleopatra Scarlett (nn Cleo) and Nefertari Sapphira (nn Tari)
vote up1
"though I would if I could"♥ to you Lillian.
vote up1
♥ to you Fer
vote up1
Tiger/Tigerlily
Lyonesse/Alexander Lioncoeur
Tiberius/Augustus
Scarlett/SapphiraI really love the middle names =DI like the sound of Allyriana, but not the spelling. It's not as... neat as Alexander. As far as Pharoahs/Queens go, I like Arsinoe and Piye. =P
vote up1
Whoo Egyptian names!I wrote a paper for my Egyptian Archaeology class tonight, so I'm pumped up about this, heh. Nefertari was a neat lady, though I also associate the name with the equally as cool Ahmose-Nefertari. And Cleopatra's stunning of course. I really like those girl combos, as I think the MNs match the personalities of the FNs very well.Jedidiah will never not be handsome. ♥ I like Derek Tiger, too, and LOVE Alexander Lioncoeur. Hmm, I think I'm just liking Alexander period right now. It has the potential to be very dashing!I actually like all of your names here. Just so you know. :D
vote up1
Omg lions ;_;
I love lions. Why are Lyonesse and Lioncoeur making my heart ache so? I love lions. Wow man you have really hit the nail on the head with these combos. You could not get more medieval flowing dress than Allyriana Lyonesse and you could not get more dashing than Alexander Lioncoeur.Delilah Tigerlily is full of success. I can't feel Derek tho.I am full of love for your "others."
vote up1
I love Tigerlily and Alexander.Cleo is nice too.

ThemedB/B Pavel Peregrine and Leandro Luis
B/G Shannon Stavros and Helena Harriet
G/G Wrenna Windflower and Isla IlluminataOther strong male contenders (seeing as I'm having so much fun with alliteration):
Akiva Archimedes
Ariel Andreas
Pasha Phillip instead of Pavel Peregrine (I love the nn Pasha for Pavel, but Pavel Phillip doesn't sound as good as Pavel Peregrine, and Pasha Peregrine doesn't sound as good as Pasha Phillip. You can see the conundrum, yes?)
vote up1
OH. MY. GOD.G/G Wrenna Windflower and Isla Illuminatacan I just have these? Please? Pretty pretty please with a cherry on top?
vote up1
Shared custody work for you?I luuurve them. :)

*sigh* I suppose. As long as I get them every other weekend.
vote up1
What interesting pairs! I love seeing Pavel and Philip, as well as Helena and Wrenna.
vote up1
I love themes!Pavel Peregrine is quite well done. I also like Isla Illuminata. =D
vote up1
Helen Elizabeth Jane and Mary Annabelle Kate are amazingly beautiful. I also love Samuel James!
vote up1
I like:Elizabeth Jane and Mattew
James (mn)

Currently, If I had twin girls I would name them Amelia Josephine and Eleanor Louisa. If I had two boys I would name them Ciaran Joshua and Ian William. If I had boy/girl twins they would be Amelia Josephine and Ian William.
vote up1
I like Amelia, Louisa, Ciaran Joshua (prefer Joshua Kieran) and William.
vote up1
Yes, Joshua Ciaran does flow better but Joshua is being used as an honourary name and I prefer to keep those in the middle position.

Yoshiya David Mateo (or Y Samuel M or Y Samuel David M) and Nobuyoshi Eito
Or if later on down the line (after those other names were already used), Maybe Sanbi Shori and Nobumichi Kouhei
B/G
Yoshiya... and Jocelyn Christa Michiko
... or if I already had a bunch of children and they were later on down the line, maybe Reiji Nathanael and Elisa Joanne Reika
... or if earlier, but Yoshiya's already used, if they were born in Mito: Johanneke Mizuki and Nobuyoshi EitoG/G
Jocelyn Christa Michiko and Kendra Jolene Mikiko
...or if later on down the line, maybe Bronwyn Elizabeth Sakie and Kelsey Janelle MitsuyoFor the most part, I'm more inclined to name them as individuals rather than a set...
vote up1
Japanese names?I'm a bad judge of telling where names come from, heh.I like how you have quite a bit of multiculturalism going on here. It's very refreshing. I especially like Yoshiya David Mateo and Jocelyn Christa Michiko.

Yes, they are Japanese... I live in Japan nd it's part of who I am... Did you check out my links below for my name surveys? One of the faves seems to be Benjamin Tsubasa Raphael.

Love Jens Loïc and Per-Luc, like you wouldn't believe. :DI love that they match on so many levels- chiefly that they aren't pronounced how they look- without obviousness.

Ooh Iris Josephine! I'm not usually a fan of Iris but I like it in this combo. Rudolph Guillaume is a little close to Rudy Giuliani for me, but Rudy and Iris make a pretty cute twinset. I like Per-Luc too.
vote up1
I love Iris. :)
vote up1
:)I dunno though, I might be a little more satisfied with Lilac Maud. Something about 5 + 5 gets to me.Odilia is fun but it doesn't quite satisfy me. Ottoline satisfies me!but is perhaps not enough YouShortlist.Josephine doesn't usually satisfy me as a middle name and it doesn't with Odilia, but it is good with Iris.In my german history class the other day, a character named Günter Guillaume was mentioned and I thought of you.

B/B: Matthias Luke and Martin Isaiah
B/G: Matthias Luke and Mariel Alice Elaina
G/G: Mariel Alice Elaina and...Options would be:
Eleanor Rosalie Delilah - "Ellie" or "Nora"
Anwen Bryony Delilah - "Annie"
Elspeth Jane Mathilde - "Ellie"
Annabelle Catherine Violet - maybe "Anna," maybe no nn.And maybe a few others, but that's good enough. The first girl name is definite, but the second would definitly give me a bit of trouble.
vote up1
I vote for Eleanor Rosalie Delilah - nn Nora or Ella.

In serious real life:B/B - Charles Francis and James Frederick (Charlie and Jamie)
B/G - Charles Frederick and Margaret Evelyn (Charlie and Maggie)
G/G - Margaret Evelyn and Abigail Frances (Maggie and Abbie)For not serious, and off the top of my head: :)B/B - Charles Llewellyn and James Finlay (Charlie and Jamie)
B/G - Charles Llewellyn and Eleonor Margaret (Charlie and Nora)
B/B - Eleanor Margaret and Imogen Alexandra (Nora and Ginny)(although I would seriously consider Charles Llewellyn in real life... it's just that it wouldn't honor anyone, which kind of bothers me)

I really like Eleanor Margaret and Imogen Alexandra.Abigail Frances is lovely.
vote up1
I think your serious B/B and G/G sets are too matchy in the NNs. And I think I would prefer Jim(my) or spell it Jamey. But that's just me.Anyway, they're all really nice combos, I'm assuming the only difference in Serious and Not Serious is family names?I especially like Charles Frederick, Charles Llewellyn, Eleanor Margaret and Margaret Evelyn.

I like River and Charlotte. I love the way they sound together.
vote up1
I really like the way Twilight and Charlotte almost match in the last syllable, it kind of brings them together when they're such different styles. River and Atlas is pretty cool too.

River and Atlas are a power sibset. Wow.Charlotte and Twilight is pretty and perfectly encapsulates your style.

thanks! :)

Ignatius is one of my all time favorites, and I really love Spyridon. It sounds so tough. It would go well with Hugo.I like Theda and Imelda together.
vote up1
Thanks! :-DYou mean Hugo Spyridon? Hmmm.I'm too much of a Vicar of Dibley fan to be ably to deal with Hugo. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Isaac and Wilhelm make an awesome twinset (same as Tippins lol). As a single name I like Esperance Rosemonde best, but I like all of yours pretty much. With the possible exception of Imelda Clarimonde - maybe a bit matchy with the repeating 'm', 'l', and 'd'.
vote up1
(I had them first!)And do you know why Isaac and Wilhelm make the most awesome twinset ever? Do you? ~think~LOL.Yea, I've got Clarimonde out of my system now.

I like Frederick and Imelda.

I absolutely love Wilhelm Ignatius. So classy. ♥ Also Esperance, Augustus and Theda.

Hey! Owen Kelly!I have that on my list. I like Rhys Morgan and Eleanor Natalia too. Very nice. :-)
vote up1
Owen Kelly has always been a favorite of mine. It was the name of my Great-Great Grandfather. I was looking at my mom's baby book one day and saw it and just fell in love. I also like it because it has such an Irish feel to it, which is great since my Great-Great Grandfather was Irish!

Ah I love Eleanor Natalia. Especially as Nora. I'm not a fan of Morgan fullstop, or Owen, but I really like your G/G twinset. Matilda is a major favourite of mine, and Matilda and Eleanor make an awesome twinset.

Yay for HFF, but don't you mean Henry & Edmond? *glares*I take all credit for Ned and Noor :P Even though I still prfer Ned and Nora myself ;)Still not liking the flow of ASK. It's not the Anna Seraphina part..it's the Katharina. Doesn't work with Seraphina. But don't you dare touch the first part, it's lovely :) And Edmond Augustus is great- he can have that in common with his "cousin" ;) They can be name buddies, like Ada and Addie! Yay.

Oooo! Henry Francis and Anna Seraphina Katharina!Lovely! But Edmond Augustus, Elinor Cordelia and Beatrice Saraya Melisande are all wonderful. The only one I'm not instantly in love with is Charles Eoin. But I do like Charles...:-)

I love Thea Rose, and like Willow Jane and Iris Camille.

Love the boys names, especially Felix.I also like Eden and Rose but not together- I'd prefer Thea Rose. I like Thea.
vote up1
Jasper Leo is so cool! I like Noah Felix too, and they make a very cool twinset (sorry, lack of vocab lol, they are just very cool names!).
I'm not a fan of Willow Jane, I like Willa better, but I do like Eden Rose (and Thea Rose).
vote up1
I love Jasper Leo. A lot.Noah Felix is wicked cool and Willow is gorgeous!
vote up1
They're all nice, if not my style.I would get Rose out of the middle name spot ASAP though. Rose is too lovely to get hidden away like that.
vote up1
I have mixed feelings about Jasper and Willow. I want to like Jasper, but I have a bad association with it, however I think it's quite handsome. With Willow, I have an on and off like for it. Some days I like it, some days I don't. I think all your combos are very nice and sweet, my favorites are Jasper Leo and Noah Felix.

*melts at Sarah Agnes*Gorgeous. Love both names, and I like how they complement each other; the name says quiet strength to me.I like Noam Alexander, too. Noam is a really nice alternative to Noah, which is so terribly boring.
vote up1
Oooh! Noam Alexander, Elliott, and Sarah Agnes are all wonderful! Agnes is so often poo-pooed as an antique, but I think it has an understated beauty.

Sarah Agnes is gorgeous

Mattias and Caius are both pretty cool. Too bad they rhyme:( I've been warming up to Isaiah lately, so it's nice to see it!Ivy Honora is stunning, as is Ivy Clara. I actually don't know which one I prefer! They're both lovely. June is awesome and I would so love to see it used in real life.I prefer Elijah to Noel, definitely.

Noel and Clara are namesakes.I want my firstborn to have one of those as a mn, depending on the gender. So even though I prefer Matthias Elijah, if he is my firstborn, he will be Matthias Noel. :-)Thank you for all the comments, they're greatly appreciated!
