The Johnson Family

The Johnson's are a traditional, American family. They live in St. Louis, Missouri and enjoy such things as camping, hiking, and having picnics. Dan is the head of a St. Louis marketing firm and Sherry stays home with the couple's two young children. Andy, 5, started Kindergarten this year and he enjoys playing outside and has an obsession with dump trucks. Clara, 2, attends preschool two mornings a week and is an outgoing, angelic little girl. Sherry just found out that she is expecting a third baby. She and Dan are at a loss as to what to name their next child. They would like a simple, classic name that fits well with Andy and Clara's.

Otto and Amelia Kneller are a German couple who emigrated to the United States last year. Both speak fluent English, but remain proud of their German heritage. Otto works at an international distribution company and Amelia volunteers at the community center teaching ESL and life skills courses. She and Otto are now expecting their first child, a boy. They would like to give him a German name. They want his first name easy for English speakers to pronounce, like theirs and his middle name to be more German-sounding.

Richard and Lisa Elliot were married six years ago and have not been able to have children. Instead, they have decided to adopt. Both Richard and Lisa are social workers. They do a lot with adoptions and foster care, so they know the process can be difficult. Luckily, they were able to adopt an eleven month old girl from China last year, Annie Fen. They are now pursuing another adoption from China, but are also thinking about the Czech Republic (Lisa's family is Czech). They are planning to adopt another girl between the ages of 6 months and 2 years. You can decide where they adopt from (China or Czech Republic). They would like to give the girl a simple English name and keep their given name (either Chinese or Czech origin) as either one or two middle names.

Nick and Carrie Anderson were recently married. They are a very young couple, but plan on staying together forever. Nick is working for his father's landscaping company and Carrie is a receptionist at the local hospital. They were completely surprised when they found out that Carrie was expecting a baby. They aren't sure what to name the baby yet, but they'd like to incorporate a biblical name somehow and maybe a variation of their names.
