I think Lily is really pretty, and I'd be lying if I said it wasn't Lily Potter's fault. I used to think it was just another generic popular name, but her character made me take notice of it a bit more, and now I think it's light and sweet. Plus I love the combo Lily Catherine.
I think it will become more popular, but I don't think it will break the Top 10 ever. But who knows.
The only flower name I don't see as frilly is Rose. It's too deep and serious. Lily and Violet are semi-frilly. I think Daisy and Petunia are pretty frilly though. And any not really traditional flower name can be a bit over-the-top. Like Marigold, Chrysanthemum, or Zinnia.
