I don't think it matters. My name was #16 the year I was born, but there was only one other girl in the class with that name. It was no big deal.
If you love a name, don't worry about the popularity. You can't gauge someones' personality by their name, anyway. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: there are boring people with unique names, and unique people with boring names. It's all a toss-up.
