The name meanings presented at BtN are not "beliefs", they are factual information based on research.
I cannot imagine any reason why the etymology of Lynsey would be any different from that of Linsey, Linsay, Lindsay and Lindsey.
If you have information that would suggest otherwise, I'm sure someone here would be happy to read it - just provide us with the references and we will do so.
