[Opinions] Laura
Now that it made its way out of the top 100 i think it might be used again. WDYT ? Classic or boring ? I was actually really shocked to see that it's not in the top 100 anymore. I thought it would always be popular, like Elizabeth.

I've always liked Laura. It's a classic and much better than Lauren or Laurel, imo. I love the meaning and the way it looks written down.

Deadly boring..I don't see the attraction. It's the most boring name ever, save Lauren, in my opinion. I know tons of them. Sorry.
Laurel would be a little more different.

Since it's mine,I'm a bit biased. I happen to love having this name. I've only met one or two other Lauras in my life, and it's very sweet, simple, and pretty. You can't go wrong.

I was surprised to see it out of the top 100 too. I think Laura has become one of those surprisingly distinctive classics that is not as popular for babies that people may perceive.

I know Laura's of all ages, it is classy and nice, but yes a little boring I think.

I only know one Laura, and I don't think it's at all popular, and I'm surprised it's been in the Top 100. I don't think it'll be used "again" now that's it out. I think it's classic, and not boring at all.

I like Laura, always have. I'm shocked to hear that it's out of the American top 100 too, wow. That's amazing.

I think Laura is a beautiful classic name... Dependent upon your generation, it can be viewed ANY way, really. hehe... My mother's name is Loralyn-- She was named after her grandmother Laura Olive and her mother Evelyn. I used to always say that I would give a daughter the middle name Laurelise, in honor of the Laur/Lor family tradition.

I lean towards boring. I can totally see how others might see it as classic though.

I always think of Laura Ingalls Wilder. Pretty name, but I prefer Lauren.

Pretty, but a bit too common. I'm often tempted by Lauren though so I guess I shouldn't talk. I'd give it a couple years to see how it goes personally. But if you really love it, use it. If I ever have chidren with my current ex bf, I imagine I'd name a daughter Eve Laurie nn Evie. Laurie would honor his mother, Laura. Laurie's an uncommon option come to think of it, either as a nickname or a full name.

I think it's very boring. There were five Laura's in my grade.

I love it, but then I am partial because it is my aunts' name. I think it is a classic. My aunt was named after Gene Tierney's character in the movie Laura. I am a bit surprised it has fallen a bit because it seems short and simple, but then again Neveah is in the top 100. :-X

I adore Laura. Sweet, beautiful, timeless. It is very medieval to me; I think of the Laura that Petrarch was in love in. Such a wonderful name.

It's very dated and boring. I much prefer, the fresher alternatives Laurel and Lorelei.
