I think Heidi works for Adelaide too and that's my favored. Heidi's cute, it's grown on me.
Of course, you could probably smush together some other germanic element + heid and perhaps come up with something you like. Or even something like Anneheid "graceful sort." Heidi/Heida is one nickname I can't endorse as a given name because it means "Sort/Type." So idkConsuela's gorgeous I love it

Everywhere I have seen Heidi means "noble". I'll have to look that one up.

look at the etymology of itIt's a short form of Adelheid, which means "noble sort" - but the elements of it are Adel (noble) and Heid (sort). Heidi, of course, comes from the second element
