I believe like Ian, Sian (Welsh/Celtic) is a form of John.
Following family tradition of first son being named John...
we're looking for a variation. Our preference is Sian (pronounced Shan)...I'm finding it oftentimes considered a girls name. However, in a few other places it's a boy's name.
