I looked up the name of the lady I am dating because I wanted to write a poem to/about her. Her name was apparently derived from the name of a duck back in the days of the Greek. This site also references thread and woof whatever that means. Is there a Penny or Penelope out there who can shed a little more light on this name? I am having trouble writing something romantic in relation to a duck or thread.
