Hi verlorene Seele,
In Swedish, Riekki would be pronounced almost like in Finnish, but without the long consonant as there are no long consonants in Swedish.
The pronunciation would be like this:
Swedish: REE-eh-kee
Finnish: REE-eh-'-kee (' = small pause)
It doesn't sound like
Ricky because the first i is long, the e is pronounced and the R is rolled.
The stress is on the first syllable.
By the way, Riekki is a Finnish form of the Swedish name
Fredrik (originally
German:
Friedrich )
Regards,
Satu
