William finds a baby girl on your doorstep. Do you adopt her?
William walked in the house one day with a tiny bundle in his hands. My first instinct was to say, "Oh of course, we can keep the puppy!" But it wasn't a puppy... it was a little girl! Just a year ago last week, we found Thomas on our doorstep. Have we become the softhearted people who will take any child? After some research we were able to find the baby's mother who is only 14, but she told us her story, and we realized that she had done the "right thing". She signed the papers to begin our adoption process, kissed her little girl, and said goodbye. I do hope she'll become a part of our lives as well. A week later she was back on our doorstep. She said she didn't want her baby back, but she needed a place to stay. That was four weeks ago. We have since adopted her and her baby.
