I used to like it having read first the 'Malory Towers' stories by Enid Blyton (though it was a school in it rather than a person) and then reading the Babysitter books by Ann M. Martin where there was a character called Mallory.
However, I don't like it now. My tastes have changed. That said, I see nothing wrong with it (depending on how bothered you are by meanings) and Mallory Rose sounds pretty.
