[Opinions] Rose or Violet
Which do you prefer? I'm looking for a name that evokes a very sweet, timeless, but still sophisticated image. These are two I came up with but don't know which fits the bill better.
P.S. Would they make a good sibset?

Rose gets my vote.

I much prefer Violet. I've never liked Rose, which is funny because I like related forms of it. It's quite common, especially in the middle name slot. I think they are too flowery for a sibset, sorry.
I prefer Rose. I personally wouldn't use the names as a sibset because it's much too themey.

Rose!
I love Rose. It's my favourite name. I definitely think it is very sophisticated and timeless.
Violet is great too, but possibly a little too chic-trendy for what you are going for.
IMO, they are far too matchy as a sibset. You could always use Violet as a middle name (But never, ever, use Rose as a middle name.)

I prefer Rose, but Violet is also pretty. I have only recently begun hearing Violet used so I do not consider it "timeless." IMO, it seems rather trendy right now, while Rose has been used more consistently over the years. Both do seem very sweet and sophisticated though. I personally would not use them as a sibset because it would be a very themey sibset.
Rose fits your image better than Violet, but I prefer Violet.
Much prefer Violet, I've always found Rose boring.
Rose..
I dislike Violet because it is cutesy. Rose is a little too frilly, but I prefer it to Violet.

Rose is a timeless, beautiful name, but I think it works better for an older woman. Violet is also timeless, but seems to work better for a little girl. I would go with Violet; you could call a little girl Rosie, but that always reminds me of Rosie O'Donnell and Roseanne Barr. Violet, on the other hand, doesn't remind me of anyone I can't stand.
As a sibset, I think its a little too cutesy.

Difficult...
But I'd go with Rose as my best friend is called Rosie. Actually, I love them both and I'm going to add them to my PNL. They're lovely but probably a bit too cheesy as a sibset.

My favorite is Violet by far (I've never been wild about Rose), but if you're looking for a sweet, timeless and sophisticated name, go with Rose. I've always pictured the name Violet on a somewhat wild girl with abnormal colored hair. That's one of the reasons why it's a favorite name of mine lol. But I do think they would make a good sibset. After all, it's not uncommon for one sister to be wild and out there while the other is shy and sweet.
Rose definitley. I think is really pretty & so overused as a mn but not as much for a fn. Violet makes me think of the word "violent" which puts me off a bit.
They would make a nice sibset, but it would be a bit too themey for my liking.

I love both, but prefer Rose.
They're too "themey" for siblings for my liking.

I completely agree.
Violet, but basically they both fit for description. Violet is just the one I like better. But I think a sibset with both of these names would be kind of tacky, two flower names and all.
