[Opinions] Mercedes?
What do you think of it?

It sounds like the name of a Hooters waitress.
I really like it, actually. I wouldn't personally use it, but I find the sound lovely and honestly don't associate it with the car upon first impression.
bliah!.
Gorgeous
Mercedes is exotic, has a beautiful meaning, and cute nns (Mercy, Emmie, Sadie). It's in the same impossibly elegant category as Montserrat.
The only down-side of course, is the car company. On balance, I think the value of the name outweighs the bad. Actresses Mercedes Ruhl / Reuel (sp?) and Mercedes McCambridge didn't suffer from what I can see. Then again, I would name a nn Niamh or Aoife so what do I know? (:-D

very low class IMO and all I think of is the car. I prefer Mercy.

ditto
Except for the Mercy part.

Love it!
I love the name. It is pretty without being frilly and has the great nn potential in Mercy and Sadie. It's a one of a kind name that is not easily rhymed / compared to others. In otherwords, I really love it :0)
