Lindsay and Ellie met when he was 23 and she was 18. Ellie had just come to attend college in Edinburgh. She was out with some new friends in the city one night, and she met Lindsay. They talked for most of the night, and arranged to meet the next evening. On that night, Linsday, an artist, surprised Ellie with a quick sketch of her. After that, the two continued to see each other almost every night, eventually slipping into dating exclusively.
How did your families react at your decision to get married?
Both families were extremely happy. Calum and Maisie Graham were pleased that their son had met a nice young girl who was intelligent and came from a great family. It turned out that they actually knew some of Jamie Blackwood's family that still lived in Scotland. Jamie and Genevieve were excited that Ellie, who had always been very interested in her Scottish heritage, had found someone she loved who was also Scottish. All of Ellie's siblings were very happy for her, though her brothers (all 6 of them, from then 20-year-old Sam to 14-year-olds Adam and Rory, and even the youngest, 11-year-old Rio) did threaten Lindsay that if he ever hurt Ellie, that the consequences wouldn't be pretty.

Ryan and Julie met in college. Although their classes were very different, they had several mutual friends. They met their sophmore year at a dance. Neither one of them was dancing or partying and they just kind of ran into each other. After that, they found that they had similiar interests in reading, hiking, and horseback riding. Ryan and Julie began dating at the end of their sophmore year and were married 2 years after they graduated. They are quickly approaching their first wedding anniversary. Ryan and Julie decided to tell their families about their engagement together. Ryan's parents have two sons older than him who are married, so they weren't too surprised when he and Julie announced their engagement. Julie's parents were very excited because she is the eldest of four children and the first to get married. Ryan and Julie had been dating for awhile, so their engagement and marriage came as no surprise.
Julie is currently working in a local elementary school as a second grade teacher. She loves her twenty-one students and enjoys teaching them. Ryan recently accepted a position as a journalist for the Chicago Tribune. He isn't too high up on the totem pole just yet, but he's hoping to work his way into a better position. For now, Ryan travels around on assignment and has upcoming stories to cover in various places around the country.

They decided to give him an Irish first name, but stayed true to their roots by giving him an Italian middle name. Gabrielle's father (Adam David) is French and her mother (Yael Athalia) Israeli; both parents are Jewish. They chose "Gabrielle" because it meshed with both cultures, and "Ilana" is after her grandmother. Gabrielle grew up in France, though she generally spent her summers visiting Israel.
Eamon and Gabrielle met at the University of Oxford. They both love to travel. Gabrielle, though she is pursuing clinical psychology, would love to work on "top-secret" things for a government intelligence agency. Eamon's a bit more down to earth about that sort of thing, and though he doesn't find engineering to be the most interesting thing on the planet, he doesn't have any wild fantasy job in mind. He does like to play around with writing humor, occasionally, though. It was Maria - she had been fired and was very distraught. She was so scared she just stood in the middle of the road, until she was approched by two of her favourite star players, asking her if she was ok. She was so surprised and still shaky from what had happend that she just said she was ok and ran out of there as quick as she could. The next home game, she was cheering close to the field as usual, and Lucho noticed her and remembered her. After that big win, some players, including Lucho, went to a club to celebrate - the one where Maria was with her friends. He approached her to talked to her about what had happened - and they intantly clicked. The rest is history...

Lucho has a very big family, but when his parents met Maria they instantly liked her - she's a down to Earth girl like them.
What *kind* of person your couple is? Lucho is a very stubborn, confident (one might even say cocky!) and strong guy. Maria's head tends to be up in the clouds, but she's sweet and very talented. All in all they are good people and very supportive of each other's careers.
