I've thought about using it - the pronunciation is definitely AY-rah - we have Aira + Ira for IE-rah.

I love it said AIR-ah. EYE-rah is a masculine name to me (Ira), and not a very good one at that.

It's not bad. It has a pretty good sound to it and I like the meaning.

I've always known this as a Welsh name meaning "snow." I like the meaning but the sound doesn't appeal to me.
Much better than Eir, IMO.
