[Opinions] Lucille
Really starting to admire Lucille for a little girl. It's too cute for words. Very retro-chic but not hoary at all. Lucy goes better with my other names, but I'd still rather see a Lucille--it's very retro-chic. Cecile is also a fav like this, but I think Cecile is less retro and more classic.

I also love the name Lucille and admire it for it's retro-chic-ness too! I'd still probably go with just Lucy though, as I really love that name. Cecile is nmsaa.

I prefer Lucy. Lucille makes me think of Lucille Ball.

Love Lucy, hate Lucille. I used to think that Lucy was a nickname for Lucille, and therefore I could never use Lucy, since I don't like nicknames as full given names, and I hate Lucille. But another poster hear pointed out to me the error in my thinking, and made me aware that Lucy is not a nickname for Lucille, but in fact predates Lucille.

I absolutely adore Lucille as well. I've often considered using it to honour a good friend of mine, Lucy (the one in my profile picture). I think that Lucy would work very well as a nickname for Lucille. You could try that if you think it would fit better? Cecile is also lovely but I do prefer Cecil or Cecily. They're all beautiful classics though.

I like Lucille. And while we're at it, I like Cecile, too.Lucille is very cute and it stands out without being pretentious. Same with Cecile. While Cecile seems a classically beauty of a name, Lucille seems more spunky and audacious. But that could be because I associate it with Joan Crawford.Do you have any combos in mind?
