[Facts] help me! pronounciation problem
does anybody know how to pronounce Caellainn, as in the saint? She (St. Caellainn) is also called Caoilfhionn, which I know is pronounced kee-lin, but I was wondering if Caellainn is pronounced the same. Somebody help!!!
Thanks,
Mika

I speak a little Irish-Gaelic, and everybody's been right thus far.
In Gaelic "ao" or "aoi" is always an [EE] sound.
While "ae" is always [AY].
The unstressed second syllable is just an [uh] vowel.
If this is being used as an odd, Irish varient of "Caoilfhionn," "Caellainn" would be pronounced [KAYL-in].
But, if the usage is an adoptive transliteration, local rules almost always take precendence. So if this were the Anglicized form, it might be [KEEL-lan], or if this is a Latinized form it would be pronounced (God forbid) [SEEL-lan].

thanks guys! :)
I'm pretty sure that Caellainn is just an anglicized version of the gaelic name? My wild guesses is Kal-lin or Kay-lin. I know that's no much help but it's the best I can do. The irish version of Kevin is similar to the gaelic spelling you put, so I think it's safe to assume that it's "lin" at the end.
